PREP 2022-2023 scholars have chosen grad programs!

Members of the 2022-2023 cohort of PREP have figured out destinations for graduate study. They all were accepted into top schools in their fields, and for some, the final choice of program was very very difficult because they had totally amazing choices.

  • Johnny Vertiz is going to the Cell and Molecular Biology program at UCI as an NSF GRFP fellow.
  • Arielle Hancko will be at the Molecular Engineering program at the University of Washington, also with an NSF GRFP. And she'll be joined in Seattle by Alex García in Neuroscience.
  • Kiya Jackson, Angel Ruiz, and Kevin Abuhanna from the 2020-2021 cohort will be in UCLA's Graduate Program in Biosciences, with Kiya and Angel in the Cell and Developmental Biology Home Area and Kevin in Genetics and Genomics.
