"The Martik (@MeganMartikPhD) lab is seeking a Lab Assistant 3 to supervise the preparation of and ordering of general lab supplies and reagents and to perform a variety of molecular, regenerative, and developmental biology techniques. Our laboratory studies the development of the neural crest in a variety of vertebrate research organisms including zebrafish and sea lamprey. We apply gene regulatory network approaches to understanding the differentiation of the neural crest into distinct derivatives and seek to understand how these gene networks evolve throughout vertebrate evolution, how they are reused in the adult to control tissue regeneration, and how they go awry to give rise to birth defects or pediatric cancers."
